Coutellerie Nontronnaise

The tradition of the Nontron knife has existed since 1653 which makes it the oldest knife in France. Cutting out, fashioning, mounting, polishing and trade mark application allows this spirit of genuineness to be preserved. The building that houses the factory recalls the image of the Nontron knife: wooden cladding over a steel structure. Inside, a glazed observation bay overlooking the workshop allows the public to watch the cutlers at work.
